| I picked this for color because it showed the contrast between black and orange. Also, noticed that black stick (woods) blocked the orange fire. That helped the outline of this wood stick... |
I took many different photographs for colors and different schemes; it was an interesting experience! Out of many pictures, I narrowed to two pictures that I felt the best. As you see pictures in the above, I took two pots of four different plants. Before I explain about these pictures, the true color (in the natural daylight): the sheet is black; lighter colored pot on left is "off-white" when other is darker pine green; and there are only two different shades of greens on these tropical plants. I decided to put two different blubs in the lamp: green and blue (light blue). Plants show off completely different vibes on each color. In the left picture, it is using the green blub. Plants showed more green than it should be, however did not change colors on many subjects as much as I thought it would. Meanwhile, under blue light, it showed colored as you could see from the black light effect. It is strange to see that since it is blue! I personally liked the blue one because because it showed variety of shades on both pots of plants. It was fun to try all colors (blue (light and dark), green, purple, red, and natural daytime. -Brennan

Very creative idea utilizing different lighting colors. I find it interesting that different colors brings out different textures and density. Do you have examples of other color schemes such as analogous or complementary?
ReplyDeleteI like that you experimented with colored light, although this assignment was color schemes and both your photos are mono-chromatic. Please put up one with a different scheme for full credit, ok?
ReplyDeleteThe composition of these is excellent with the center of the biggest plant in the rule-of-thirds position.
I like the way you shot the plants using different bulb colors. You can really see the different shades of color each light brings out. It is certainly more noticeable in the blue.
ReplyDeleteThe different colors make the plants look awesome. I'd have to say the blue one is my favorite since it has more shades and tints of blue. Great work.
ReplyDeleteThanks, i learned about how colors affect subjects in the picture, so its good to know
