Two pictures above is my example of using the clone tool. I really like this tool because I can clone anything i want and put where it should be, just as i like it to be. I think it is one of the easiest tools, so far, in GIMP. The picture, on left side, is the original. I cloned myself onto furthest left place of the tree. It really can trick the mind! I zoomed often to make sure I filled every inch of cloned image! Its the easy process. This picture was taken in a park in Tampa, Florida, by me
I was exploring the usage of text in the program. It seems difficult to figure at the first, however it took me some time to figure text and adjusting them. It wasn't one of my favorite things to do as I have to admit! I picked this picture because I thought that I would type some text to make you curious to see what is at the end of this path! :) This was in Florida too. I also enhanced the picture with slow-glow effect..I LOVE THIS EFFECT!!!!!!!!
I still can't figure out why it was yellow! :) Well I used paint tools and it had taken me a while because I wanted to try various settings of this paint tool. At first, I set the paintbrush to saturation so I can paint them into black+white surrounding this bird as i wanted it to be "pop out", then I used the divide effect with yellow (for some reason) to paint around. I l liked the effect of painting on this one, it is different hats why i like this one. The picture was taken in Florida too :)

Nice job on the cloning! I still can't figure out how to use it on Elements. I couldn't tell which picture was the original! nice job!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see the bird original so I could compare it with the painted one. Your cloned image is gorgeous, nice work!
ReplyDeleteReally good job with the cloning! I like your text too!
ReplyDeleteNice job on the first picture. By changing where the subject stood changed the whole picture. The tree is very interesting that is in the background.
ReplyDeleteI like the clone tool, BUT it does take time to get a good clone, if you wouldn't want people to see the "fake" picture! I had to zoom in (i mean way in) to make sure i do not go over wrong areas. its fun, but whew! :)
