Marco-Week 3

It was a great learning experience! Its fun to go out looking for something so I can take a picture! Also I never realized that it was so easy to make a collage! I thought it would take forever to make a collage, but wow it is easy to make! I am excited to learn that, so I could make more collages since I thought they are pretty awesome. I also worked on marco pictures, it seems that each picture have "a powerful vibe" that makes me "stare" at the picture for a while!

  2. Brennan,
Wow I agree with Erica, there is so much texture in your collage! I love the picture of the blue and yellow flower as well as the wood chips. The picture of the paint in the middle is really neat too! Great job capturing all those awesome textures!

  3. Thanks to both! For textures, i took few pictures during the day, I had noticed that with little shadow, it boosts the texture in these pictures. Also, helped with sun set or sun rise, since there are more shadows from that.

  4. I like the structured layout. When I think of a collage I tend to think of overlays and creative nature in chaos. This was nice.

  5. Wow Brennan! This is amazing. I can't believe all the textures you captured. I really like the picture of the pine needles. It makes me almost smell the pine scent and feel the pitch on my fingers. Awesome!

  6. You must have had some of these already since you've got photos of phlox and iris, which usually are not blooming at the same time. I like the variety of textures you achieved here. Who would think to take a surface view of a painting and the hot pink texture, not sure what it is, but amazing color.

  7. Bambi, I have to be honest with you, I always pictured collages as using overlays or "messy" structure, until I tried this program. So its nice to have choices!
Sonya, thanks, like your describing words about pines. I was focused on the wood part, not pine needles, but good thoughts.
Lisa, you are right about Iris! I took this picture of Iris couples months ago, but I wanted to add this to this collage because I loved this picture and could feel that Iris is "trying" to talk with me. I liked the way it looks like a pollen crawl out of the Iris! All other pictures are new, took them for your class :). Oh By the way, About this texture you spoke of for the painting, it is a oil painting (one of my hobbies) so I thought that oil paints can make nice textures, that's why i decided to take a picture for the collage! :)

  8. So I came back to look at blogs and enjoy looking at them. Then I came back to look at my collage once again, and I was thinking about one thing: If I decided to "shuffle" pictures around in this collage, how much it would be different for you to see? Could it be a different reaction? For example, I would move the photo of spider to upper left corner and will be a little bigger. I can imagine that the focus will be on spiders and force people to feel chill down their spines! What you all think of that?

  9. Great colors! I like the use of a border around the edges of the photos. I love how many different textures you have, also really great points of view!

  10. My favorite flower is the Iris. I love the textures that an Iris has to offer. The beard is the prettiest part of the whole flower. The up-close picture of the paint is really neat. I would have never thought to use something like that. Wonderful job!!

  11. I like how you chose, orderly clean lines in your collage. My eye was drawn to the upper right corner as it is full of bold colors. Nicely done, Brennan.

  12. You collage is full of amazing clear photos. I'd have to say my favorite is the one of the brush strokes of the painting. You captured a lot of textures in great detail. Nice job!
